Approach & Entrance - Strong S to SW winds will make the entrance hazardous. The Sierra Blanca mountain range will be seen from a distance followed by the mass of tower blocks surrounding the marina which lies immediately south of the lighthouse. Be aware of the fishing platform at 36º 30' N 4º 52'.4 W. Enter between the breakwaters giving them a good berth. Secure at the fuelling station to port and ask for a berth a the control tower.

General - A small marina surrounded by tourist developments. The marina can be noisy at night during the summer months. Wind from the east, south and southwest can produce a heavy swell within the harbour. Be prepared to double up on lines.

Eating Out - A couple of restaurants within the marina complex, numerous in the town.
Local Area - Beaches on either side of the marina but these get very crowded during the summer months. The town itself is well worth exploring. Don't miss the famous Orange Square which can be found at the heart of the city centre. The inland town of Ronda is worth a visit.
