General - Golden Sands Marina lies on the Bulgarian coast on the Black Sea. Shelter is excellent.

Position - 43º 18' N 28º 03' E

Approach & Entrance;
From the south - The breakwater can be seen from a mile or so off. Care must be taken to avoid Monastery Reef to the SE. It is normally marked with a buoy.
 From the north - There is a large flat valley that can be readily identified. Golden Sands Marina lies just to the S of this valley. The breakwater can be seen from a mile or so off. Care must be taken of the fishing nets strung from poles 100m to the E of the breakwater.
 To enter - Enter between the breakwater heads.

Berths - Where directed by the marina officials. There are some laid moorings.

Formalities - Zlatni Pjasaci is a port of entry and the marina office will arrange for the authorities to visit the yacht.

Shopping - Limited and very expensive. This is not a place to provision the yacht.

Eating Out - Numerous restaurants, bars and cafes catering to the many tourists.

Local Area - Excellent beach. The resort of Balchik has a fine botanical garden. Kranevo is a pleasant unspoiled village. Adadzha monastery, carved out of limestone cliffs, is a good walk away.
