General - Marina Figueira da Foz lies on the W coast of Portugal. Strong onshore winds make the entrance to the harbour dangerous with waves breaking all across the gap between the two breakwaters.

Approach & Entrance;
From the south - The coast is low and sandy backed by one of the largest coniferous forests in Europe. The suspension bridge 1.5 miles upstream is conspicuous.
From the north - Figueira da Foz lies some 2.5 miles S of Cabo Mondego. The suspension bridge 1.5 miles upstream is conspicuous.
To enter - Steer a course of 081.5º between the breakwaters. Follow the channel, the entrance to the marina is to port 0.7 mile inside the river mouth. There are cross currents particularly on the ebb.

Berths - On finger pontoons. Secure to the arrivals berth opposite the entrance and report to the office.
