Digital photos are also very welcome. General - Puerto America Marina is located at Cadiz, in the bay of the Cadiz on the Atlantic coast of southern Spain. It is run by EPPA, the Empresa Publica de Puertos de Andalucia. Puerto America Marina offers berths, boatyard and a storage operation. Sadly the marina does not enjoy an attractive position set as it is amongst extensive commercial facilities adjacent to the container yard. However Cadiz is a city well worth a couple of days exploring. My own recommendation is to stay in either Rota or El Puerto de Santa Maria and visit Cadiz by ferry or bus. Sunday - 09.00 - 14.00 Formalities - Insurance, Yachts Papers and passports should be presented to the marina office. Depths at MLW - 4.5m. Protection/Shelter - Not Known. Approach and Entrance - Make for the Canal Principal, well bouyed and lit and follow it through to the commercial basin. The marina is the first facility to starboard once through the breakwaters. Entrance - Berths & Moorings - It is not known if reservations are required. Maximum length - 15m. Water - On the pontoons. Electric - On the pontoons. Fuel - Diesel & Petrol on the quay. Weather forecast - Posted daily at the marina office. Security - Not Known. Internet Access - Not Known. Other Marina Facilities, Services & Supplies - Toilets. Showers. Boatyard Facilities & Services - Limited repairs can be made. Owners can do their own work but may not stay on the boat overnight while it is out of the water. Shopping and Provisions - Most provisions can be obtained in Cadiz some 2 km away. Bank or ATM - In Cadiz. Chandlers or Ships' Store - Not Known. Butane/Camping Gaz/Propane - In Cadiz. Ice - At the Club Nautico. Restaurants & Eating Out - A vast choice in Cadiz. The adjacent Club Nautico has a small restaurant. Transport - Bikes - Local Bus Service - Cadiz is a hub for numerous local services Intercity Bus Service - To Algeciras, Cordoba, Granada, Madrid, Seville Taxis - Car Rental - Train Service - Water Taxi - Ferry Service - To Rota & El Puerto de Santa Maria Airport(s) - Local Area - Sporting & Recreational Facilities - Sightseeing - Lots in Cadiz.
