Strong currents may be experienced from the river following periods of heavy rain. Some laid mooring lines extend to mid channel from the quay.

Approach & Entrance - From the S it is easy to identify at Porto Cristo a conspicuous tower and lighthouse with white and black stripes and a black X topmark. To enter Porto Cristo approach from a position due E of the lighthouse and enter on a NW course. Turn to the N to leave the mile to port at 20m and proceed on a SW course.

Local Area - Good beach in the NE of the harbour but it gets very crowded in the summer months. The famous Cuevas de Drach and Hams are a must visit. There is a good wildlife park. Climb the tower for a good view of the coast.
