Marina Santa Ponsa, Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain

General - A small marina in attractive surroundings. It is easy to approach and enter but care is needed in strong W winds. The marina is long and narrow and there is restricted room for manoeuvre once inside.

Position - 39º 30.9' N 2º 28' E

Charts - British Admiralty 1703 Spanish 3815, 421A, 421 French 4722

Approach & Entrance - From the S and E round the prominent Islote El Toro with it lighthouse. Steer NW to round Isla Malgrats and follow the coast in a NE direction. After rounding Morro d'en Grosser a tall white memorial will be seen, the marina entrance is nearby. From the N and W pass Isla Dragonera and round Cabo de la Mola and Cabo Llamp. Steer an easterly course for the tall white memorial. The marina entrance lies nearby. To enter, approach the head of the breakwater on a SE heading and leave it to starboard.

Local Area - There is a sandy beach nearby. A Gothic tower and a smaller watch tower may be of interest.
