General - Shipyard Quarters Marina lies in the heart of the historic Charlestown Navy Yard. The marina is in two sections, each a wharf with docks on both sides. Pier 8 is protected by an 800' floating breakwater. Pier 6 is exposed to some swell.

Approach & Entrance; From Massachusetts Bay steer a course for Boston Harbor. Make for the E side of the inner harbour. Pass the coast guard station and head for piers 6 & 8 in the navy yard. Pier Six, is recognizable by the bright blue canvas awnings. Pier Eight, has a low-country style contemporary clubhouse, with a pale green shed roof.
