Approach and Entrance - From the Atlantic Ocean make for Block Island in Block Island Sound. New Harbor Moorings lie in Great Salt Pond on the western side of the island. The mooring field sits directly in front of two of the Pond's three transient marinas; Champlin's and the Block Island Boat Basin.

Berths & Moorings - 90 moorings all available to visiting yachts. Mooring Balls are lime green (500 lbs. - up to 39') and orange (800 lbs. "H" - over 40').The moorings are served by a launch. Reservations cannot be made.
