1 week charter - From Leros to Kos

Day 1 - Embark in the morning from Lakki, the main harbour on Leros and head for Lipsos. This island is renowned for its 42 blue-domed churches and is the perfect introduction to "traditional Greece" being a small, unspoilt village, with an array of whitewashed buildings with blue trim scattered around the bay. Add the pinks and purples of the blazing bougainvillea and you have the photographers perfect dream! If conditions are fairly calm consider a visit to Macro Nisi, the Cave Island. There is a secluded little anchorage with sheer-sided cliffs, just great for swimming and snorkeling.

Day 2 - Head for Arki, a little island which boasts a permanent population of just 47 people. There is just the one small harbour and a few houses scattered on the hillside. And there's Manolis place! A wonderful little taverna with cushions scattered around the shady patio and speakers hidden away in the trees so you can enjoy Manoli's very extensive CD collection.

Day 3 - Make an early start and sail to Patmos, the famous Monastery Island, where St John was inspired by visions to write the Book of Revelations. The 10th century monastery, built by Crusader Knights, reigns over the island and is still an active and influential part of daily life here. The village that lies at the foot of the monastery has narrow winding alleyways barely wide enough for a donkey. The islands attractions are not solely for those fond of culture and history. There are also dozens of little beaches and bays to explore, including Quiche Beach famous for its milkshakes and homemade pies.

Day 4 - Set a course for Pandeli, a lovely little bay on the east side of Leros. This is one of the prettiest anchorages you will ever visit. Imagine a horseshoe-shaped bay dominated by an 11th century fortress, blue-and-white houses scattered across the hillside and a couple of little beach tavernas just a short distance from your anchored boat. Try sitting and watching the moon rise from one of these tavernas, with boat in the foreground and the lapping of waves almost at your feet. The Savana Bar offers a complete contrast where you can party and dance until the small hours.

Day 5 - Just a 3 hour sail to Vathi. A well-hidden and very narrow entrance opens up into a tiny fishing village at the head of the bay. It boasts one main street and a collection of houses scattered across the valley. Vathi is the only place on the entire island that is lucky enough to have its own spring water supply and they use it carefully to cultivate citrus fruits, figs, grapes and anything else that can be persuaded to grow! Its also the home of Poppy's, a wonderful little family taverna, where Poppy's mom makes possibly the best homemade dolmades (stuffed grapeleaves) you'll ever taste and the swordfish steaks are also pretty wonderful!

Day 6 - Head for the little island of Pserimos, where you can anchor for lunch and snorkel around an old half-sunk gulet. After lunch make the two hour trip for Kos, the biggest island in the area. Although its still not exactly large, it can be quite a culture shock after the past few days of traditional Greece. You might even see a car as opposed to a donkey. Here you can wander round the 12th century fortress which still guards the entrance of the harbour or just try a little "taverna-sitting", grab a beer or a coffee and watch life go by on the busy waterfront.

Day 7 - Disembark before 10.00
