General - Depoe Bay Marina is located at Depoe Bay, in the state of Oregon on the Pacific coast of the NW USA. The facility offers slips. Depoe Bay is the closest point to watch the resident gray whales, usually about 50, spend the summer right off the coast and two on-site tour companies will take you there.

Approach and Entrance - Depoe Bay Marina is 12 miles north of Newport, right off ocean at buoy "DB". The outer channel is really a hole in the rock wall. Raging waters crash over rocks on both sides, an overhead bridge gives 42 feet of clearance in a 30-foot span and the channel turns slightly. Boats over 50' require approval from the harbormaster before entering the Bay, the entrance channel is so narrow that turning around is nearly impossible.
